Monkey See, Monkey Do, Jesse James is 2!

How time flies when you're having fun! And this is one fun kid! He's pleasant, happy, content, smart, funny and all around a GREAT BIG JOY to have in our home. Everybody loves Jesse.
We did this photo shoot to get a pic for his invitations. He thought he was so funny and acted just like a little monkey!

For his party this year, we served pasta bar and enjoyed an evening with family, a bit of basketball (it is, after all, the middle of March) and a moment of "my presents". To Jesse, everything is "mine" and this really was his day to shine. It was fun to celebrate this sweet little boys life. Thanks to all for coming and bringing so many fun "my trucks" and "my toys"!

Let's Go Fly a Kite

One of my NOT so favorite things about spring is the WINDY weather. We've lost trampolines (yes- that's plural) and a swingset (it's true) to the gusts which can get up to 60 mph. It's pretty crazy. One breezy afternoon this week, Duston decided to put the winds to good use and got out our old kites. Despite the cold and a few mishaps with the trees, the kids had a good time. It wasn't quite as pleaseant as the strong, steady coastal winds of past "beach" flying, but for the desert, the experience was pretty sweet.

One Crazy Week!

Monday-
BIGGEST LOSER REVEAL

Before & After shots. Total Lost: 43 lbs and 10 1/2 inches off waist.
Sean did such a GREAT job- he worked very hard (doubles EVERY day) and completely changed eating habits! The contest started January 11th and ran for 6 weeks. During two of those weeks Sean was gone on 5-day tours for his anti-trust seminar. That didn't thwart or discourage his decision to win. In the end, it was a close race. He finished second- having lost 7.75% body fat. First place was 7.89, third was 7.43. Sure proud of you babe- YOU LOOK HOT!~!~!

1st= Guy, 2nd= Sean, 3rd= Derek

Tuesday-
BLUE & GOLD BANQUET

Have I ever mentioned how much I love cub scouting?!! With so many things for boys to do and learn and achieve, this is just our cup of tea! Duston is starting his third year, he's now in the WEBELOS Den, and it's also the 100th year of scouting! To help celebrate we brought a classic celebration cake to the Banquet. D also received his citizenship belt loop. Nice work bud!!

Wednesday-
ALL OUR LOVE TO THE PETERSENS

Have you ever met someone, and felt like you've known them forever? That's how I felt when I first met Brigit 2 years ago. Brock had just started working for AI, and we met them at a dinner where, luckily, we sat next to them. It was one of the most enjoyable work dinners I'd ever been to. The time flied- we had such easy and fun conversation. She's from Wells, a cool home-town girl, down to earth and totally sweet! I love that she can be the Diva too- she's the perfect mix. I'm so grateful to have her for a friend. This day was filled with sorrow- as they welcomed and bid farewell to their sweet angel Sadie. All our Love & thoughts to you!

Thursday-
LADIES "CRAFT" NIGHT OUT

There's a small group of gals in town who like to get together once a month to do a crafting project. We each take turns "hosting" and this month was my turn. We did these FHE boards- which I think turned out so cute! It was fun to see the different font choices and paper selections. Each one was so unique and adorable. We all worked hard while munching on Easter M&M's, in all varieties. Chocolate & Crafting- How can one go wrong? Nice work ladies!!
